B&Q operates two different kinds of stores - the larger B&Q Warehouses which cater for the needs of the keen DIY'er and trade with their wide range of products and staff expertise, and B&Q Supercentres which are convenient for most people to pop into for their everyday needs
The 1990s were an exciting time for B&Q . In 1995, the first larger format B&Q Warehouse store opened and we began opening for business on Sundays. In January 1996 B&Q 's first store outside the UK was opened in Taiwan .
In 1998 B&Q merged with France 's leading DIY retailer, Castorama, to become the largest DIY retailer in Europe .
International expansion continued in June 1999 with the opening of the Shanghai store - B&Q 's first in mainland China . B&Q also took a big step with the acquisition of Screwfix Direct, the hardware mail order specialist.
- Is it safe to shop with B&Q online ?
B&Q uses secure-server software that encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number and name and address. - Can I return unwanted goods to B&Q ?
Yes you can call the B&Q Customer Services team on 0870 0101 006. They will arrange for the collection of the unwanted goods.
Calls are charged at national rate. Lines are open 8am - 6pm weekdays and 9am - 5pm Saturdays.

You can return your order to any B&Q store. Remember to take the Sales Invoice received with your order and let the in-store customer service staff know that you ordered the goods online. They will process your refund immediately.
